The Key West Songwriters Festival is the largest festival of its kind featuring over 30 shows, 150 performers, and five days of music. The 2020 Key West Songwriters Festival will take place May 6-10. In its 25th year, the Key West Songwriters Festival is mostly free, although some shows are ticketed. The shows take place around Key West at area beaches, bars, resorts, and historic theaters.

In 2019, the Key West Songwriters Festival included performances by Brad Paisley, Scotty Emerick, Liz Rose, Jeffrey Steele, Robert Earl Keen, and many more. The event is sponsored by BMI, and has been since 1997.
