History of 605 Duval Street
History in Key West is endless. The island has changed and grown over the years. 605 Duval Street is one of the islands locations that has gone through several transformations. In the late 40s, it was the popular Cabana Bar. The Cabana Bar was frequented by the servicemen who were stationed in Key West. By the early 70s, it held the local HFC Loan office and Moe’s Barber Shop, run by Moe Mosher. Moe was instrumental in restoring the 600 block of Duval Street in time for the country’s bicentennial in 1975. Currently 605 Duval Street houses retail establishments that cater mostly to tourists who traverse Duval Street in search of memorabilia of their Key West visit.
