Wednesday, October 28th, Fogarty’s Red Party- Don’t miss Fogarty’s 8th Annual Red Party, with a live DJ,  costume contest and door prizes, dress to impress at this party! 227 Duval St, cover charge.

Thursday, October 29th, Sloppy Joe’s 26th Annual Toga Party- Entering this contest is a breeze, just arrive at Sloppy Joe’s at 8:00pm for registration dressed in your Toga Party attire and if you can try to incorporate the Villains, Vixens and Vampires theme into your Toga costume as well.  There are three division: Group/ Couples, Men’s, and Women’s with fabulous prizes. 201 Duval, cover charge.

Saturday, October 31st, Captain Morgans Fantasy Fest Parade- Come see the Fantasy Fest parade which includes floats, dancing groups and marching bands with Bridget Marquardt (from the Girls Next Door series on E!) as the Grand Marshal! Come join 70,000 party goers and see what all the fun is about! The parade includes, Whitehead St, Front St, and Duval St and this party is FREE!

Sunday, November 1st, Children’s Day- A FREE family friendly event that includes, arts and crafts, games, food and a costume contest for the kids as well. Children’s Day will take place at Bayview Park on Truman Ave and Eisenhower Drive.

Key West Pet Masquerade Parade

Come to the Casa Marina on October 28th to see pets from all walks of life competing in the annual Pet Masquerade Parade. The parade has pets who are dressed like their people and people dressed like their pets.  The animals can range from dogs, cats and birds to even some pot bellied pigs and iguanas. Come enjoy this FREE family friendly Key West activity this year to see what all the howling is about.

The Haunting Event at Fort Zachary Taylor

This Halloween season come visit Fort Zachary Taylor for the 8th Annual Haunting of Fort Zachary Taylor. The Haunting of Fort Zachary Taylor occurs from October 23rd- October 31st every night from 8:00pm to 11:00pm- open till midnight on Halloween Eve.

Proceeds benefit The Friends of Fort Zachary Taylor as well as preserving a piece of U.S history as well as a piece of Key West History.

Entry to this haunted event is $13.00 for adults, $10.00 for military personnel and $8.00 for children 10 and under.

Goombay Festival 2009

Find things to do in Key West like going to the Goombay Street Festival that has been celebrated for 29 years. The Street Festival kicks off Fantasy Fest with good music, good food, local arts and crafts and a good time.

There will be a Junkanoo Rush of costumed marchers and entertainment galore by popular South Florida musicians and bands.

Come out to Goombay Festival and see why it’s been “29 years and still the locals’ favorite festival.
