THE VICTORIA HOUSE (Formerly Treetop Villa) - This gracious historical property, dating from the early 20th century, was built by prominent cigar manufacturer, William Otis Johnson. It is located just three blocks from Duval Street, in the heart of Key West’s Old Town, within walking distance of restaurants, shops, galleries, museums, theaters, seaports, Atlantic beaches, Gulf sunsets, watersports, and many other Key West attractions. Porches, terraces, and decks provide a seamless flow from the lovely interior spaces to the tropical gardens, pool, and spa. The house is constructed of Dade County pine and is furnished with antique and contemporary furniture, prints, artwork, and Key West memorabilia.
On the first floor of the main house, the spacious living room and dining room open to the covered dining porch, pool, spa and deck. The new kitchen has granite countertops and top-of-the line stainless steel appliances. In addition, there is an elegant foyer, an office area with WIFI, and one full and one half bath. Up the grand staircase, there is a second-floor sitting area that opens onto the front porch, two large bedrooms, each with en suite full baths. One bedroom opens to the front porch and the other to a large terrace on the rear, with spiral staircase to pool and decks below. The bright third floor has a sitting area, two connecting bedrooms, one full and one half bath, and a terrace that overlooks the pool and garden. There is a separate poolside guesthouse with a bedroom and a full bath. The air conditioned laundry, which includes sink, cabinets, and folding area, is located in a separate building to the left of the pool.
Televisions, DVD, and cable are installed in the living room, dining porch, all bedrooms, and the guesthouse. Living room and guesthouse have stereos with iPod dock. Off-street parking is located in the brick courtyard behind the white picket fence. At the end of the day, the luxurious spa and spa fountain offer tranquility and relaxation amid tropical gardens graced by an ancient gumbo limbo tree.

Right from the start the people of at Home In Key West were terrific to work with. They provided excellent customer service, and were most accomodating. The Victoria House was a great place for our group of 12 friends. Hanging-out in the back by the pool was great fun. The location near Duvall Street, and half-way between Mallory Square and the beaches on the other side of the island was perfect. We mostly walked everywhere! We had rented two cars for the drive from the mainland, and it was nice having off-street parking for them, although it's a tight fit for two mid-size cars. The Victoria House provided very comfortable accomodations for our large-ish group. It's a terrific place to rent.

We loved the house, the location and the pool. I wish I had known that the third floor queen bed was not in a private bedroom and was open to the stairway.

Our family (11 of us) was in Key West to celebrate my mother-in law's 80th Birthday. We had a wonderful time at the Victoria House. It had plenty of space, beautifully furnished and in a great location. I would highly recommend at Home in Key West as an agency to work with to find a vacation property in Key West. Libby was fantastic to work with.

Overall we enjoyed it with five adults and seven children. Had trouble with the air conditioning on the third floor and was told it needed a new unit. It became tolerable with fans blowing cool air from the second floor to the third. Street noise in the front bedrooms. Large tree over the front parking area dripped sap which attracted ants so we could not use this area for parking.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home. We want you to know that the a/c on the 3rd floor has been replaced and the large tree in front has been treated for the insect that was causing the sap. We came to Key West for a sister's 50th birthday. There were 10 women. The house was perfect! So much charm. We spent a ton of time in the back yard in the pool. The house is in a great location where we could walk to everything. This was the sixth 50th birthday party we have done and I say probably the best. The house made it! One complaint - the coffee pot is too small! Thanks for a great time!

The charming house was well-equipped, cool, and spacious. My husband and I particularly enjoyed the "poolside bedroom." It was perfect for our son's wedding weekend with family and groomsmen staying in one location. The bride also used it as a central location for flowers, dressing, bridesmaids. We loved the pool and outside decks as well. The two refrigerators came in handy.

6 retired couples rented a 12 pass. van, drove to Key West.We stayed at the Victoria House, We arrived on Sunday, The keys were easy to find, the house was just as described on line. The beds were good, We sat arround the deck in the morning drinking coffee,making plans for the day, and usually back to the pool in the afternoon. With a group of 12, we had no trouble getting in to resturants. Everyone is ready to come back.

Just a few blocks off Duval on Truman, we could get everywhere we needed by foot, electric car or scooter within minutes. Huge house with many, many sitting areas, ample bedrooms, and nice deck/pool area. We had 10 people in our party and had both privacy and adequate room to sit as a group. If you do rent this location - bring ear plugs!!! My only complaint is that the roosters (a.k.a. Key West's famous feral chickens) start early and crow for 3-4 hours. Half the house got used to them, I never did. In retrospect, it is my fault for not seeking ear plugs earlier, but I didn't.

This house was great for the four of us couples that rented it for a week. The house had everything you could ask for. Great kitchen, plus an extra fridge outside by the pool and hot tub. Lots of room so you never felt like you were on top of each other. The only negatives I had were that at night road noise in the front of the house was loud and all the the tv's in the bedrooms had terrible reception, but we didn't go to Key West to watch tv or sleep a lot so it was worth it!

We so enjoyed our stay at Victoria House. There were 4 couples staying in the main house and one person in the pool house. We spent a lot of time on the back porch area and in the hot tub & pool. Loved the kitchen and cooked a great meal there. The rooms were great except that the front bedroom had a lot of street noise from Truman Street. Would recommend the Victoria House to others with a large group. Great to have so many bathrooms!!!

We come to KW every year and have stayed many different places. The Victoria house was by far the best. It was pure luck that we got this house. I guess I waited to late to book the trip and our normal house on South ST. was already taken. Next year, we will stay at the Victoria house again! At home in KW is excellent to deal with. They followed up with us and gave us great service!

Wonderful. The house was very clean and so beautiful. The beds were OK some were better then others. We went with five couples and had a blast. Would come again and stay at the Victoria House.

The children were in the pool daily. The patio was a family gathering place. Everything was within walking distance. Bikes were rented and many enjoyed the night life in Key West My family loved Victoria House and would stay there again.

This house was perfect for our vacation. We were able to walk everywhere along Duval street. Spacious, the pool and hot tub were nice. Lots of outdoor seating on the patio. All the balconies were great too. Overall we loved our stay. The only downside was there was no pantry. We brought lots of groceries and didn't have any place to put the food. Overall it was an excellent home and we would definitely rent this house again.

We had a group of 11 stay at the Victoria House for my birthday. The house was pretty darn perfect. Very comfortable & big but still very "homey". The only major issue was construction. EVERY morning, except Sunday, by 7 AM we woke to the sound of construction. Also, due to the construction, the patio was pretty dusty/dirty. My friends & I really enjoyed the house and location and would definitely stay there again when construction is done. I think they should give a "construction discount" until it is finished. :)

Loved the house setup and furnishing. Loved location. The family all slept well and was very comfortable. Major issue was ant problem. We had ants everywhere and I feel that house really needs treated and treated and a regular basis. It was very disturbing. This can and should be corrected. also another insect was biting on the deck. Secondary issue: Construction next door make it almost impossible to enjoy back deck and pool area during day. One day they even worked from 7AM - 7PM. We had to go over and ask them when they would stop! I was told of construction project when I asked if there were any negatives to property but it really was loud and annoying. Things that need corrected : Coffee maker in kitchen leaks all over kitchen counter when using. Still loved house but please correct insect problem.
