Our Background, My wife and I have been travelling to Key west about three times a year for about ten years, we know the Island and rentals down here pretty well. I will just separate into the Good the so-so and the Bad... The Good at Home in Key West, The rental agency is exceptional and I would recommend them to anyone as well as use them on all future rentals' had several concerns and they were addressed right away, can't say enough great service. The Pool is large by Key west standards, very nice and secluded yard. The location is good and you can walk near anywhere you want. There is room to store your rental scooters in the yard. The house itself is a good size and the kitchen is well equipped. The so-so Furniture is very dated, and the Tvs are small and the old tube style. The patio furniture is getting tired and needs to be replaced as well. The Bad There is a more then certain chance you will go over the meagre hydro allotment, and end up losing a portion of your security deposit, so factor that into the rental price. There is no safe to lock passports and valuables, in today's world that is a must. A lot of people seem to have keys to the place, including an exterminator that walked in one day without our permission, she was very upset when we would not let her spray whatever it was while we were there. There is a sandwich shop across the street that opens six days a week by six am, tons of contractors coming and going and very noisy from 6 am until 9 am, so forget sleeping in at all other then Sundays. So the long and short is, the house is not bad, but if you need sleep rent one of at Home in Key west's other units, Take the time to add in about 250 of your deposit into your rental and if it still makes financial sense, it might be the rental for you. Cheers and enjoy Kew West

Great location to Old Town, especially for early risers!

At Home in Key West was very quick to respond to the maintenance issues. Their staff was kind and proficient and that says a lot because I needed their assistance often this year. A big thumb's up to all the staff. I'd also like to commend our bicycle rental company, "Recycle Key West". Biking was the best part of our month and not only did they deliver wonderful bikes and trikes, they were very courteous, flexible and proficient guys. I liked our home! It was enough room for 5 adults easily. Good floor plan, good showers. I loved the lizards scurrying everywhere! The home itself was basic and comfortable and located excellently on a bike lane and car parking was never an issue for us in Sept. Privacy in the back yard. New grill very appreciated!! Comfy couch, beds, and the loft was comfortable sleeping (not too hot). It's all we needed, really, but not much more than that. Seemed to me that a little bit more effort in details that aren't expensive would go a long way to help make guests feel more at home. Pool was perfect after bicycling home. I hated to leave. I wanted to keep riding my bike everywhere cause I felt so good. The only real downside was that the Cuban grocery/deli across the street corner from us started with their noise early, everyday except Sundays before sunrise. Delivery trucks rumbled and beeped, people shouted, laughed, doors slammed. I'd highly recommend ear plugs if you can sleep with them and even then, it was probably too loud for those either. We heard everything. Having said that, I will also admit I am not a morning person, especially not in Key West! It was a great month for us!

This is the second time we have stayed in anne's Hideaway. Both times, our grandchildren have visited. It is a perfect place for a family vacation. The kids love the pool and it is in close proximity to Key West attractions. We're already planning to return.
